Conference registration and payment details

Your Account

After registering online, your password and username allows you to access your account at any time, to view the details of your online registration, view your payment status, print an invoice or submit an abstract. Please use the online platform for the registration process.

Conference registration fees

​

The registration fees include:

• Entry to scientific sessions
• Printed programme overview
• 6 coffee/tea breaks
• Welcome Mixer

A variety of lunch options (at your own cost) are available close to the venue.

 

GTÖ Membership

We highly recommend to become a member of the Society for Tropical Ecology (gtö e.V.). Members of the society have following advantages:

• Discount on the conference registration fees
• For student members: opportunity to apply for gtö travel and research grants
• For student members: opportunity to run for the Merian Awards
• Many other advantages

Conference Dinner

You can register one guest who is not participating in the conference (fee: non-student participant).

Payment details

After finalising the registration process, you can download an invoice that has to be paid within 7 days. You can pay by credit card. If the invoice is not paid in due time, your registration will be removed from the system. You are only entitled to participate in the conference once the full participation fee has been received.

Please note that you must pay your registration fee latest 11 December 2025 in order to present your talk or poster at the conference. If the fee is not paid in due time, your submission will be removed from the system.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations are only accepted in written form by e-mail. If you cancel your registration until 05 January 2026, 60% of the fees will be refunded. Thereafter refunds will not be available.

Please contact us if you cannot participate in the conference because your visa was not granted. In this case, we will refund the full conference fee.

If the event has to be cancelled due to force majeure, your fees will be refunded. The organiser has no further obligations toward the participant. However, registrations remain valid if the event has to be postponed.

Please note that the conference programme is subject to change.

By registering for and attending the ECTE 2026, participants acknowledge and consent that official representatives of the conference may capture photographs as well as video and audio recordings during sessions and events. These recordings may include participants’ contributions and may be used for documentation, promotion and reporting purposes in both online and printed media.
