WELCOME & SAVE THE DATE!

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming 9th European Conference of Tropical Ecology that will be hosted by the University of Passau from 23 to 27 February 2026! The conference will have a focus on the diverse interactions between species, ecosystems and people that take place at different spatial and temporal scales.

Passau is a charming university town located in southeastern Germany at the confluence of three rivers - the Danube, Inn and Ilz. While the city is famous for its impressive old town featuring baroque architecture, the University of Passau is renowned for its focus on sustainability and its interdisciplinary study programs. At Passau, you can basically walk into Austria; the Bavarian Forest, Munich and the Alps are not far either.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Passau!
